Yikes.įyi, Firefox on iOS still saves gifs as gifs but -imho- its a weaker browser. And now the Safari (which I’ve heard based on Chrome) no longer supports gif saving in it’s latest iteration. Goggle Support hasn’t commented on the thread in the other forum and their most recent Chrome update this week didn’t fix the issue. I’d mentioned the Chrome /gifs issue to a developer & he speculated that the change might be intentional on Google’s part. I have another iPad with an older version of Chrome on it & it still saves gifs as gifs. If that’s the case, I’ll be keeping my I-devices on iOS 13. Someone on that thread mentioned Safari (iOS 13) still saved gifs as gifs, so I began using it.įrom this thread it sounds like Apple has removed ‘save gifs as gifs’ in iOS 14. I’m supposed to be notified of any other activity on that thread & there has been none. Now, choose the live photo you’d like to turn into a GIF. Here’s how: Open the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad. There were already several users on that thread having same issue. Using the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad is one of the easiest ways to turn live photos into GIFs. I posted my concern last week on a Google support thread that someone had begun approx first week of Sept. Not only will this app make converting GIFs to Live Photos easy, but it makes sharing GIFs as natural as possible with its companion iMessage app. I noticed gifs saved via chrome /iOS began saving as still images after google’s (approx) Aug 30 Chrome update. Step 1: Install Giphy If you don't already have it, make sure to install 'GIPHY: The GIF Search Engine' from the App Store. Keep that in mind when designing your housing. I later would regret this design - monsters stormed directly through it and slaughtered NPCs every time there was an event. Use the '?' Housing Query tool to click a space and determine if it meets the housing requirements. Also, if NPCs die, they will not necessarily move back into the same place when they respawn. If every house is full, you'd need an empty room to send one to in order to adjust where they live. You can move NPCs in and out using the housing interface, you cannot simply swap where they live though. A building in Terraria with the capacity to hold all 19 NPCs, with minor modifications Having lots of little cottages is doable, but it will take time! Not only in construction, but also in getting to vendors when you need them. Building individual houses for each NPC takes more materials than combining them into a home and takes up much more space in your world. For those who skipped this or wonder what works, I'm going to provide some clear and simple answers.īecause most people will build an apartment building, mansion or castle in which to house all their NPCs, it's worth noting we're really talking about individual room requirements here although the game refers to it as housing. Many new players will get a tutorial to build their first house, but may not realize other sizes work as well. The vendors who live in your town are sometimes necessary to craft powerful items that help you advance the game. Housing your NPCs is a key part of Terraria. Figure 9.1 – Common map symbols used on geologic maps. Figure 9.1 shows the common symbols used for geologic structures. Look at the tables in Chapter 2 Earth Materials to see some common patterns for different rock lithologies. Again, there are often standard colors for different ages of rocks and patterns for the rock types. Most geologic maps will have a stratigraphic column with either colors or patterns to distinguish various rock units. If you didn’t learn about strike and dip in Physical Geology, now is the time to do so. You also need to be able to read strike and dip symbols. What do you need to know for geologic maps? First, there are lots of standard symbols used to help geologists worldwide use the same terminology. Is there a publication or guidebook associated with this map? The year the map was released or revised. What is the source of the geographic information? For example, is it based on a USGS topographic map, or is it a satellite image? What is the map projection? Table 9.1 – Common map information InformationĬoncise information related to geographic information and map contents Below is a list of information typically associated with maps. Also, the lines between the different colors represent contacts between different rock types.īefore interpreting or preparing a map, it is important to understand some of the background information about the map. In previous chapters, you have seen how colors and patterns can be used on maps to distinguish different types of rocks, such as volcanic (orangish) versus plutonic (red) in Figure 2.24. Anything that has a visual distribution can be mapped. Mapping is also used in astronomy (planet and moons, regions of space, etc.). Maps may represent the surface of the land or areas in and around lakes and oceans, the seafloor, or features known or thought to occur underground. It can be challenging for someone unfamiliar with these features to look at a geologic map and visualize reality. This is one of the great difficulties in geology because geologic maps represent 3-dimensional features in a 2-dimensional format. Some maps even attempt to portray 3-dimensional landscape features, such as mountains or canyons. Maps are a scaled, 2-dimensional representation of the surface of an area. If you have used a mapping app to get directions somewhere, you have used a map. In the past, you probably encountered a variety of types of maps. 9.1 Introductionĭo you remember in Chapter 0 how we said you would become an expert at reading and interpreting geologic maps? Now is the time to sharpen this skill. Some of the maps in this chapter can be printed on poster paper from large PDF files found here (opens in a new tab). If you are looking for a secure commercial-grade wireless HDMI solution for a business or school, the InstaShow is a better alternative. If you want to connect an old Windows laptop at home to present on your Apple TV, use AirParrot. Because each button encrypts the information – and doesn’t require network access – they are ideal for IT managers looking for more security and limit exposure to hackers using wireless presentation systems to gain unauthorized access to the network. They make it easy to use in seconds – without the hassle of installing software or buying licenses for each user. This means you are limited to the performance of the connected device (e.g., Chromecast), and you are required to purchase a license for each notebook or phone that you want to connect to the display. The BenQ InstaShow products are purpose-built wireless HDMI streaming products designed for collaboration environments. You can’t use it on its own to mirror a screen. AirParrot must have a third party streaming device to work – such as an Apple TV or Chromecast. Because it uses the true HDMI output, the InstaShow can also work with media players such as Blu-Ray, as well as native HDMI output from cameras and engineering devices.ĪirParrot 2 by Squirrels and BenQ InstaShow are completely different wireless screen mirroring platforms that address different needs.ĪirParrot 2 is an inexpensive software that lets you connect typically incompatible devices, such as a Windows laptop and Apple TV. Unlike the AirParrot app, the InstaShow can work without loading any new application onto the device – making it ideal for companies and classrooms in higher security environments – or hosting visitors with “locked down” computers who cannot load apps onto their systems. Both systems can work effectively on Chromebooks, Windows, and Mac devices – as well as popular iOS and Android mobile systems. The AirParrot does not appear to encrypt any content, which could have a higher risk of your content being compromised. InstaShow encrypts every transmission with 128-bit encryption using the latest security technology. For budget meetings, HR reviews, product technology roadmaps, and even classroom grades, keeping your wireless content secure is essential. One big advantage over a screen mirroring app is the encryption of content. Using a simple transmitter button, the InstaShow enables any employee or visitor to connect any HDMI device – and wirelessly screen the information with a single tap in seconds. The InstaShow was designed from the beginning as a wireless HDMI device to facilitate collaboration in a meeting room or huddle space. This is one reason for the price difference of the products. The first difference you notice with an AirParrot 2 and the InstaShow is that the AirParrot software requires you to purchase additional hardware to connect to a display.īy contrast, the InstaShow platform doesn’t require the purchase of any extra hardware or software. Simply put, they conduct electricity very well and are readily available. Related: Ideal Wire Size for a 50 Amp Sub Panel Different Types of Wire What’s important is that you don’t end up with an undersized wire as that leads to a fire threat and may damage the wire’s insulation. Without a doubt, home wiring is what most people who have this query are concerned with, so I went ahead and focused on that. This also applies to the neutral wire size, since it should be the same size as the line conductor. So, yes, you can consider either gauge as the most suitable 200 amp residential service wire size and entrance cable size. The same can be said for the 4/0 aluminum wire, which works for 180A. Now, go check out the inputs in Table 310.16, and you’ll see that the figures and recommendations make sense.Ģ/0 copper is rated for 175A (based on the 75° C column), which is perfect, since it still leaves a nice buffer. We’re just considering the 83% standard, as proven by the following calculation: If you compare the inputs from Table 310.16 standard wire size chart with the ones in Table 310.12, you’ll end up with different figures. Take note: this rule only applies to services rated between 100 amps to 400 amps.Īlso, the sizing above only applies to single-phase dwelling services, assuming your property falls into that category. Summed up, it means that your 200 amp service wire size’s ampacity should not be less than 83% of the main service’s rating. The 200A service recommendations of 2/0 copper and 4/0 aluminum wires were made with the 83% standard in mind. This is how we can replace elements from any position by new elements. The last two elements JavaScript and HTML are replaced by VBScript and Perl. Var t1=scripts.splice(2,2,"VBScript","Perl") īy using the above code you can see the last two elements of the scripts array is replaced with two new elements. Replacing elements of an array using splice methodĭocument.write("-Now after applying splice()-") We will take our scripts array example, here is our array. Now let us try to understand how splice method works in different conditions. All the elements removed from scripts array will be placed in a new array t1. The replaced list can be more than the number of items to be removed. List1 is the name of the element to be replaced. Length is the number of elements to be removed starting from the starting_number, If it is 0 then nothing is removed. Starting_number is the array element number (index ) from where the starting element is to be taken up,Note that the first element index is 0 Var t1=scripts.splice(starting_number,lenght,"list1") scripts is our array object, Here is the general syntax of splice method when applied to our scripts array object ( this is the example of array we are using in all our previous array tutorials).
